Lo & Co designs architectural hardware for the design-conscious: handles, knobs, hooks, and door levers crafted in solid brass, bronze, and stone. Their product quality had outpaced their digital presence.
They needed a platform that could support international expansion across multiple markets, currencies, and languages without duplicating effort or fragmenting the brand experience. The existing setup meant managing separate backends for each region, slow content updates, and an online experience that didn't reflect the calibre of the product.
We started with deep UX discovery, mapping how trade buyers and retail customers navigate differently, and how Lo & Co's showroom-quality product experience needed to translate online. Every screen was designed around real buying behaviour, not assumptions.
The architecture decision was headless: Shopify Plus as the commerce engine, Prismic CMS for content management. This gave Lo & Co a single platform powering multiple international storefronts, with the ability to create, localise, and publish content without touching code or managing separate backends.
The design language was built to be evergreen: warm materials, considered typography, generous white space.
We designed a dual navigation system: one path optimised for transactional shopping (search, filter, buy), the other for editorial exploration (collections, brand story, trade information). Both paths converge at the product.

Within the first year of launch, Lo & Co saw +175% total orders, +305% add to cart, and +79% total sales year on year. The platform now powers multiple international storefronts from a single headless backend.
