Depends on where you're coming from. WooCommerce and BigCommerce run 8-12 weeks. Magento runs 10-16. Salesforce Commerce Cloud runs 14-20. Shopify to Plus upgrade runs 4-8. The full breakdown is on each platform page.
How much does a Shopify Plus migration cost?
Phase 1 fixed-scope migrations run from AUD 80k (WooCommerce) to 600k (enterprise SFCC), depending on source platform, data volume, integration count, and whether you include a redesign. We quote fixed price after a scoping call.
Will we lose our Google rankings?
Not if redirects are built and tested properly. We map every URL, test through a crawler before launch, migrate structured data and canonicals, and monitor Search Console through week four. Rankings typically settle by week four.
Do we stay live during the migration?
Yes. Your existing store keeps running until DNS cutover. We build on a parallel environment, migrate data in stages, and run a final sync the night before launch.
Do we have to redesign at the same time?
No. Most brands replatform as-is first, then redesign as a Phase 2 once they're stable on Plus. Separating the two keeps scope honest and launch risk low.
What data gets migrated?
Products with variants, attributes, and custom fields. Customers with order history and groups. Orders, addresses, wishlists, and reviews. Integrations rewired. We reconcile counts between source and target before launch and again after. No silent data loss.
