Smash makes sustainable everyday products: lunch boxes, water bottles, food storage, and reusable cups, sold through major retail distributors nationwide. But they had no direct-to-consumer channel at all.
Their entire revenue depended on wholesale B2B relationships. Without their own ecommerce presence, they were leaving customer data, margin, and brand control on the table. They needed a DTC platform that could serve both local and international markets from day one.
We designed and built Smash's first-ever direct-to-consumer platform on headless Shopify Plus with Prismic CMS, giving them a complete ecommerce channel where none existed before.
The UX was designed for a product range that spans categories and age groups, making it easy for parents, office workers, and outdoor enthusiasts to find the right product without getting lost in a broad catalogue. Custom filtering and collection architecture were built around real use cases, not just product types.
The headless architecture with Prismic CMS gives Smash's marketing team full control over content and campaigns without developer involvement. Critical for a brand launching into DTC for the first time and needing to move fast.

Smash now has a direct relationship with their customers for the first time. They own the data, they control the margin, and they run the brand experience. The headless platform serves both local and international markets from a single backend.
