Extend into Shopify, Hydrogen and Sanity

Headless App Integrations

Theme injection doesn't exist in headless. If your product only works inside Liquid, every composable storefront is a customer you can't serve.

Headless broke the app model

Your app was built for a world where every Shopify store ran a theme. Script tag in, app block dropped into Liquid, done. Headless broke that model. In a Hydrogen storefront there is no theme to inject into, and the merchant's dev team owns every component on the page.

So when a merchant goes composable, the apps that can't follow get replaced. Not because the product got worse. Because the integration path stopped existing. Every headless migration in your customer base is a churn event waiting to happen, and every composable prospect is a deal your competitors with a Hydrogen story win by default.

We build the integration path: components, APIs, reference implementations and docs, on the stack we ship stores on every week.

What we build for you

Hydrogen component libraries

React components a merchant's team drops into their Hydrogen storefront: your product working in minutes, styled to inherit their design system, maintained against Hydrogen releases.

API surface design

The contract underneath the components. Clean, versioned, rate-limit-aware endpoints that composable builds can rely on, designed by people who consume vendor APIs for a living and know exactly which mistakes hurt.

Sanity integration

Where your product touches content, we build the Sanity side: schemas, plugins and portable text patterns that make your data native in the CMS half of the modern stack.

Reference implementation

A working storefront running your integration end to end. It's your sales demo, your documentation's backbone, and the proof developers check before their agency says yes.

Built by the team on the other side

We're not integration consultants who read the Hydrogen docs once. We build headless Shopify stores on Hydrogen, Sanity and Algolia as our core stack, week in, week out. We know what merchants' developers need from a vendor because we are those developers on every other project.

Once the path exists, make it compound: integration enablement turns one good integration into a repeatable pattern, and retailer discovery makes sure the market knows it exists. Partnership conversations start at our partner program.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why don't theme apps work in headless storefronts?

Theme apps rely on injecting scripts and blocks into Liquid templates. Hydrogen and other headless storefronts don't render Liquid; the merchant's team builds every component. Without a component library or API surface for that world, your app has no way onto the page.

What does a headless integration path include?

A clean API surface, storefront components merchants' developers can drop into Hydrogen, Sanity schemas or plugins where content is involved, a reference implementation that proves it works, and documentation written for the developer actually doing the integration.

Do we need to rebuild our whole app?

Almost never. Your backend and business logic stay. What's usually missing is the presentation layer for composable storefronts: a component package and the API contract underneath it. Weeks of focused work, not a rewrite.

How do merchants and agencies find our integration once it exists?

Documentation and a reference build make it checkable, which feeds retailer discovery. Making it repeatable across many implementations is integration enablement. Build the path, then make it findable and easy.
