How it works

The questions shoppers ask. Every day. Every platform.

1. We ask what shoppers ask

150 questions per industry, drawn from real search and AI query data — not questions a brand would write about itself.

2. We ask every day, on every platform.

ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews. Daily scans, accumulated across a rolling scan window. Hundreds of answers per industry.

3. We record who gets named.

Every brand mention, its position in the answer, and which platform said it. The Visibility Score is the share of answers a brand appears in. Nothing weighted, nothing modelled.

Frequently asked questions

What is the AI Visibility Index?

It's Found's ranked measurement of which brands AI platforms recommend, industry by industry. Each volume covers one Australian direct-to-consumer category, scored from a fixed weekly battery of real shopper questions put to ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews.

Which industries are covered?

Twenty Australian categories are live — activewear, beauty, supplements, coffee, footwear, swimwear, homewares & bedding, pet, baby & kids, outdoor & adventure, 4x4 & auto electrical, furniture, haircare, fragrance, eyewear, luggage, home fitness, wine & spirits, toys & games, and handbags — each re-scanned weekly. New industries are added over time.

How is a brand's Visibility Score worked out?

The Visibility Score is the share of all AI answers in the scan window that named the brand — measured across ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews using the same fixed questions every week.

Where can I see the full methodology?

The full method — question selection, scan cadence, population rules and scoring — is published at flux.agency/found/methodology.
